Wooley Bear is a Newfoundland mix. I'm totally convinced that Goldie's spirit lives inside of him! He's the sweetest little soul (just not quite as gentle as she was!) When Goldie passed on, Shim was very depressed. Ron went out on a hunt at all of the local shelters, looking for a new playmate for Shim. After little luck, exactly one week after she left, I was standing over her grave and I got this awesome feeling! I ran into the house and told Ron to go out again and he would find our dog....Goldie had already picked one somewhere. He came home with Wooley that day because he thought Wooley looked like a black version of Goldie. I know that she sent Wooley to us and she's up there laughing because he spends every minute torturing Shim EXACTLY the same way Shim tortured her...by chewing on those fluffy ears!!!

These are by far the only two pictures we have of Wooley in still position! This dog has so much puppy energy, it's amazing!!! Like his mama, he's a real ham for the camera, as you can see in the picture below. To get a shot of him sleeping, we had to creeeeep verrrrry slowwwwwwly over to take it. He's a very good boy.

Imagine our horror the day that Wooley came to us and told us that he wanted to go to Reindeer School! We were devastated! Even though he was quite ready to assist Santa and the other reindeer, we managed to talk him out of it by mentioning that he would have to have surgery to get permanant antlers since the ones he was wearing here were not very snug. He tossed the antlers aside and decided he'd wait a few days and think it over. Luckily for us, the Reindeer School idea was vetoed by him.
